About Us

Hekimay Hospital was founded in 2009 on Eskişehir Road as a 60-bed hospital by three cardiologists, an orthopaedist and an obstetrician. The idea was simple: a patient should walk through one door and have diagnosis, treatment and follow-up handled by the same team in the same file.

Today we serve 24 specialties in a modern building with 180 beds, 9 operating rooms, 32 intensive care beds, a 3 Tesla MRI and multi-slice CT scanners. With more than 140 specialists and 520 nurses and health technicians, we perform about 410,000 outpatient examinations and 14,000 operations a year.

Our approach

• Patient coordinator: Every inpatient and package patient is assigned a single contact person from diagnosis to discharge.
• Transparent pricing: Fixed prices for check-up and maternity packages; written cost information before surgery.
• Patient safety: Identity verification, barcoded medication, fall-risk assessment and surgical safety checklists are mandatory in every unit.
• Scientific approach: Weekly case councils and multidisciplinary oncology, cardiovascular and orthopaedic boards set treatment plans together.

Social responsibility

Every March and October we run neighbourhood health screenings with free blood pressure, glucose and bone density checks. In cooperation with universities we offer clinical placements to nursing and medical students, and through eco-friendly building practices we aim to reduce our energy use every year.
