Quality management in our hospital is not a single annual inspection; it runs on indicators measured every day in every unit. Senior management reviews the indicators with the quality board every quarter and approves improvement action plans.
Indicators we track
- Hospital infection rate (per 1,000 bed days) and hand hygiene compliance
- Fall, pressure injury and medication error reports
- Surgical safety checklist compliance (target 100%)
- First response time and average length of stay in the emergency room
- Patient satisfaction and recommendation rate (quarterly survey)
Patient safety practices
ID wristbands and barcoded medication, double checks for high-risk drugs, bedside fall-risk assessment, surgical site marking and time-out protocols are used in every operating room. Incident reports are made confidentially and without blame; the aim is not to find fault but to improve the system.
Continuous training
All staff receive annual training in basic life support, infection control and patient rights. New doctors and nurses go through a six-week orientation programme.
We share our results
We publish key indicators such as infection rate, post-operative complications and patient satisfaction in a corporate quality report every six months. You can reach the latest edition on the Documents page and send feedback to the quality office at info@hekimay.com.tr. Suggestions from patients and their families are the first agenda item at the quality board's quarterly meetings.
