To help our patients rest and to reduce infection risk, our visiting and companion arrangements are as follows.
Visiting hours
- Wards and rooms: Every day 14:00 – 15:30 and 18:00 – 19:30
- Intensive care: Twice a day, 15 minutes at 11:00 and 17:00; no more than two relatives at a time
- Neonatal intensive care: Mother and father 24/7; other relatives only through the glass
Companions
One companion per patient may stay in the room with the doctor's approval. A companion is normally approved for paediatric patients and for patients over 70. An extra bed and meals for the companion are provided on request.
Visitor rules
- Children under twelve are not admitted to intensive care and neonatal units.
- Visitors with fever, cough or diarrhoea are asked to postpone their visit.
- Using the hand sanitiser at room entrances is mandatory.
- Keep corridors quiet and set mobile phones to silent.
- Bringing flowers and food into patient rooms depends on the doctor's advice and the patient's diet.
Special circumstances
For patients at the end of life, family visits are arranged without time limits as the doctor and ward manager see fit. Visiting may be restricted during outbreaks; current notices are shared on our website and at reception. Please ask reception for food orders and parcel deliveries. For patients with spiritual care needs, the hospital prayer room and spiritual support unit are open every day.
