Operating Rooms and Surgery

9 operating rooms, minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery

Laminar-flow theatres, laparoscopic and arthroscopic techniques and same-day discharge options.

Packages and insurance options

Six of our nine operating rooms have laminar air flow and HEPA filtration. General surgery, orthopaedics, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology and neurosurgery are all performed in the same complex.

Minimally invasive and robotic surgery

Most gallbladder, hernia, uterine and prostate operations are done laparoscopically, so patients have less pain and get up sooner. Arthroscopic methods are used for knee and shoulder problems.

Before and after surgery

  • Anaesthesia outpatient assessment and written consent
  • Surgical safety checklist and site marking
  • Multimodal analgesia with the pain management team
  • Same-day discharge for suitable patients

The estimated cost, procedure codes and package scope are given in writing before surgery.

Discharge and aftercare

At discharge you receive written care instructions, a medication plan and a follow-up appointment. In the first 72 hours after surgery our nurses call to ask about pain, the wound and your general condition. In an urgent problem you can reach the 24/7 surgical on-call doctor.
