Ear, Nose and Throat

The ENT department provides diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing loss, vertigo, snoring and sleep apnoea, voice disorders and neck masses. Nose and sinus operations are performed endoscopically and nasal packing is not needed in most patients.

Audiometry, tympanometry and brainstem hearing tests are carried out in the hearing laboratory; hearing aid and implant candidates are assessed with an audiologist. In children, adenoid and tonsil problems and ear tube insertion are performed as day cases.

Patients with suspected sleep apnoea are informed about CPAP or surgical alternatives after an overnight sleep study.
